APG Capital has acquired four parcels totaling 70 acres along I-95 in fast growing Johnston County, North Carolina. The property, which is situated at 190 Campground Road in Selma, was purchased last week from Temple City Church for $3.8 million. The purchase Included a seller leaseback period of up to a year for the existing 16,000 square foot structure.
Congratulations to James Anthony, III, Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Manager, and Daniel Walser, Vice President of Acquisitions for sourcing the deal and facilitating the closing.
James Anthony said, “We’re really excited about the opportunity to work with Selma and Johnston County to plan a future mixed-use development. It’s too early to say what that will look like, but it will include residential, retail and industrial components.”
APG also plans to work closely with Kevin Dougherty, the owner and president of AdVenture Development, the developer of Eastfield Crossing, a massive 3 million square-foot mixed-use project underway across the street from APG’s newly acquired land. Anthony said APG has a close working relationship Dougherty and plans “to work closely with him and elected officials to deliver a project that complements and adds value to the surrounding communities.”
