Since 1986, APG has donated ten percent of its annual profits to designated 501c3 charities, via the Fidelity Fund and the National Christian Foundation. In the last 12 months alone the combined monetary donations, in-kind donations and matching gifts have totaled $1.3 million.
In 2017 APG formed a designated team of our employees called the WeCare Team that meets monthly to select causes and charities to support. Dozens of organizations have met with the WeCare Team to present their initiatives and needs. The WeCare Team has a budget of thousands to work with each month, and in the last 12 months over 50 local organizations have received cash donations of between $500 and $25,000.
The WeCare Team has also selected multiple key organizations whose mission, goals and values align with APG, and for which we provide further support throughout the calendar year, including company-sponsored volunteerism, and food, supplies and clothing drives. Organizations sponsored in recent years include IDYL School, Note in the Pocket, Oak City Cares, Habitat for Humanity, and Interact of Wake County.
