On April 18th, APG Companies welcomed JUMPSTART North Carolina to discuss their organization at one of our periodic Lunch and Learn events.
JUMPSTART is a prison ministry that, through a 40-week inside program and a 12-month outside program, assists current and former prisoners with their transition outside of prison to become successful and productive members of society. For those who have completed the JumpStart program, the success rate is 96%.
Originally founded in South Carolina in 2008, JUMPSTART’s North Carolina chapter was established in May 2022 – they are currently active in two of the 55 prisons in North Carolina. With a mission of helping more people and reducing recidivism, JUMPSTART is set to expand its outreach to more of the prisons in North Carolina.
